It has to be something we create and purchase for.  Art by women, design by women, architecture by women, books by women, comics by women, magazines by women, and writing and art that does not support bad old stereotypes.  And not just women of your own color.  Trans women, LBQ women, WoallCs.  Experiment.  Venture.  Try.

Don’t trash talk other women; talk them up.  Support women who have been victimized.  Don’t be part of the problem.  Disagree, yes, but with respect.  If other women behave badly, walk away.

One of my biggest problems is when I hear women criticizing other women based on “female” behaviors, especially those that have been given a platform in society.  Criticize a woman the way you would criticize a man, based on her beliefs, ideas, and stands.  Don’t criticize her because her make up isn’t done “appropriately” or because she was passionate about what she was saying.  Appreciate what it took for her to get where she is.  Respect people, whether you agree with her stands or not.

It’s Scary…

…when you come to a point where you have to tell someone about your mental illness. You come up with a million excuses.

"They don’t really need to know."

"It’ll never affect our friendship."

"Maybe my symptoms will go away before I see them again."

"Tomorrow will be a better time to tell them."

The problem is, how many tomorrows is it going to take?

"Expecting girls to be the gatekeepers of boys’ bad behavior is a slippery slope to placing more serious restrictions on women’s bodies, and lets boys off the hook at a time when they should be focusing on how to improve their own actions."

Damn. Yeah.

"How many promising people have rotted away in jail, losing the best years of their lives, because they had a drug abuse problem, or because they were poor and wanted to make some spending money, or because their boyfriend decided to use their apartment as a stash house? The horror stories are endless. America’s knee-jerk and thoughtless inclination to deprive people of freedom and lock them in cages as a penalty for using drugs is sickening. It is one of the great moral crimes of our lifetime."

The fact that most guys’ first response to a woman wanting equality is “SO CAN I HIT U NOW” is sort of terrifying
Like that’s the first thing you’re concerned about? I just want equal pay and you want to punch me in the face? Cool cool

Putting on makeup is such a spiritual experience I watch myself go from a 3 to a 9 right in front of my mirror I love it

no, if you are putting on makeup, I don’t care who you are or what you look like, you go from about a 10 to 1

keep talking shit you gonna go from a basic ass 2 to a 6-feet-under

I absolutely hate things like this.  If I feel better wearing make up, let me.  If I feel more myself without it, that’s fine too.  But no man, including my boyfriend, or woman will tell me whether to wear make up or not.  And lets face it, my boyfriend couldn’t tell you the difference.
